Luneng Haixi CSP Project Celebrates Its 7th Anniversary of Operation and Power Generation

On September 19, Luneng Haixi CSP Plant celebrated the 7th anniversary of its commissioning and power generation. As of September 19, 2026, the plant’s cumulative power generation exceeded 589 million kWh.

As the world’s first multi-energy complementary technological innovation project integrating "wind, solar, thermal, storage, dispatch, and load", the Luneng Haixi CSP Plant has a total daylight collection area of 610,000 square meters, composed of 4,400 heliostats of 138 square meters each, and is equipped with a 12-hour thermal energy storage system. It is China’s first CSP unit to complete full grid-related tests, has the longest thermal storage duration in China, and is China’s first CSP plant capable of 24-hour continuous and stable power generation. The successful commissioning of the project pioneered the transformation and development of clean energy in Haixi and filled the technological gap in China’s intelligent dispatch of wind, solar, thermal, storage, and load.

Over the past seven years, Luneng Haixi CSP O&M Project Team has adhered to the "dual-drive" approach of technological innovation and refined management, driving the plant’s power generation to repeatedly hit record highs and its safe operation record to be continuously renewed. The team has received multiple letters of commendation from the owner and successfully renewed the O&M service contract, delivering an impressive report card in the field of CSP plant O&M.

Standing at the new starting point of the 7th anniversary of commissioning, the project will continue to deepen "technological innovation + refined management", continuously advance intelligent O&M and predictive maintenance, strengthen the service advantage of "integrated commissioning and O&M," make every effort to ensure the safe, stable, and efficient operation of the plant, and further polish the Company’s brand in CSP plant commissioning and O&M.
