On July 8, a delegation from Office chérifien des phosphates (OCP) visited the 350MW coal-fired power plant at Morocco Jerada for discussions and exchanges.
Accompanied by the head of Morocco Jerada O&M Project, the OCP delegation first gained a detailed understanding of the power plant’s layout and key operational indicators through a sand table simulation. Subsequently, the OCP team conducted an on-site inspection of the operation of the plant’s core equipment. The project leader systematically presented to the OCP delegation the detailed practices and O&M achievements of Jerada Power Plant in areas such as unit operation optimization, fine-tuning of performance indicators, preventive maintenance systems, technical upgrades of equipment, and energy-saving measures. Mr. SIFEDDINE BELGARMOUCHI, OCP’s production head, and his team spoke highly of Jerada Power Plant’s standardized and regulated O&M system, operational results, and management experience.
During the technical exchange session, the two sides discussed topics such as turbine performance optimization and routine maintenance, optimization solutions for air-cooling systems in high-temperature environments, and strategies for integrating the existing O&M system of the project with OCP’s newly planned Mzinda project. Both parties expressed their expectation to strengthen communication and leverage their respective advantages to explore further cooperation opportunities, jointly contributing to Morocco’s power infrastructure and socio-economic development.
This exchange meeting further enhanced mutual understanding and trust, paving the way for deeper practical cooperation in Morocco’s energy sector and fostering mutual benefits.
