Company Awarded Contract for POWERCHINA Feicheng 2×300MW Phase I Salt Cave Compressed Air Energy Storage Project

2025-07-16

On July 7, the company received the winning bid notice for the commissioning of POWERCHINA Feicheng 2×300MW (Phase I) Salt Cave Compressed Air Energy Storage Power Station, marking a solid step forward for Huafeng Weiye Company in the field of compressed air energy storage.

The project is located in the Energy Storage Industrial Park of Feicheng Economic Development Zone, Tai’an City. It is the first new-type energy storage power station in China to adopt 300MW-class all-water medium, large-capacity, high-temperature, high-pressure non-supplementary combustion advanced adiabatic compressed air energy storage technology. It plans to install two 300MW/1800MWh compressed air energy storage units, with a heat storage temperature of up to 224°C, an 8-hour charging duration, a 6-hour power generation duration, and a designed charge-discharge efficiency of over 70%. The medium temperature, main gas parameters, and unit scale all rank as the largest domestically and internationally leading. Upon completion, the project is expected to generate an average annual grid-connected electricity of 1.188 billion kWh, significantly enhancing the regional grid’s regulation capacity. It will also promote the large-scale application of new energy storage technologies in China, providing strong support for building a clean, low-carbon, safe, and efficient modern energy system and achieving the "dual carbon" goals. The scope of service secured by Huafeng Weiye Company covers subsystem commissioning and complete unit commissioning for Unit 1 and auxiliary systems of the project.

This successful bid reflects the owner’s recognition and affirmation of Huafeng Weiye Company’s technical capabilities and service quality in the field of new energy storage, which will positively enhance Huafeng Weiye Company’s brand awareness and influence in the energy storage business sector.
