The Company Signed the Technical Service Contract for Subsystem and Integrated System Commissioning of the Liquid Air Energy Storage Demonstration Project in Golmud City, Qinghai Province

On May 14, 2025, the Company successfully signed the Technical Service Contract for Subsystem and Integrated System Commissioning of the Liquid Air Energy Storage Demonstration Project in Golmud City, Qinghai Province with China National Chemical Engineering Third Construction Co., Ltd.

This project is the world’s largest liquid air energy storage (LAES) demonstration project currently under construction. It is located in the Photovoltaic Industrial Park of Golmud City, Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province. With a planned installed capacity of 60 MW/600 MWh and a supporting 250 MW photovoltaic facility, the project has been selected as a pilot demonstration project for new energy storage by the National Energy Administration. Invested and developed by Qinghai Zhonglvdian Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd., the project will be capable of storing and releasing up to 600,000 kWh of electricity per day upon completion, with an estimated annual output of approximately 180 million kWh. It will become the world’s leading LAES demonstration project in terms of both storage power and capacity, playing a significant role in optimizing Qinghai’s energy structure, improving energy efficiency, ensuring energy security, and advancing the realization of China’s “dual carbon” goals. Under the contract, the Company will provide services including subsystem commissioning, integrated system start-up and commissioning, technical coordination, and documentation handover.

This signing marks a new breakthrough for the Company in the field of energy storage project commissioning. Moving forward, the project team will continue to uphold the principles of “High Standards, Strict Requirements, Detail Orientation, and Pragmatic Implementation”, fully leverage its professional expertise in commissioning, and make every effort to advance the commissioning work.
