Successful Bid: Company Awarded Commissioning Services for Xizang Amdo CSP Project

On April 20, Huafeng Weiye Company received the award notification and successfully won the bid for the overall commissioning service project of the concentrated solar power collection system of the Xizang Amdo CSP Project, marking a new breakthrough for Huafeng Weiye Company in the field of high-altitude tower-type solar thermal commissioning.
The project is located in Amdo County, Nagqu City, Tibet, at an altitude of 4,650 meters. It is the first tower-type solar thermal power plant in Tibet and currently the highest-altitude solar thermal project in the world. The project has an installed capacity of 100 MW, adopts molten salt tower technology, has a total mirror field area of 800,000 square meters, is equipped with an 8-hour thermal energy storage system, and uses binary molten salt as the heat storage and heat transfer medium. As a key energy project during Tibet’s "14th Five-Year Plan" period, upon completion, the project will generate approximately 260 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, meeting the electricity needs of about 200,000 households. This is of great significance for optimizing Tibet’s energy structure, ensuring a stable power supply, and promoting economic and social development as well as the improvement of people’s livelihoods. The scope of the contract awarded to Huafeng Weiye Company this time is the commissioning service for the concentrated solar power collection system of this project, covering the entire process including the commissioning of the mirror field and receiver-related parts, plan preparation, on-site management and control, performance tests, acceptance and handover, and a 2-year warranty period.
