Saudi Arabia Ras Al Khair O&M Project Holds Vital Heatstroke Response Exercise

To enhance the emergency response capabilities of both Chinese and international staff in dealing with heatstroke incidents and to ensure the life and health safety of frontline employees, on April 13, the Saudi Arabia Ras Al Khair O&M Project organized a heatstroke emergency drill, with Chinese and international staff on site participating in the drill.
Before the drill, the safety officer explained the symptoms, preventive measures, and first aid procedures for heatstroke to the participants in detail, focusing on demonstrating practical skills such as physical cooling and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The drill simulated a scenario where an employee suddenly experienced heatstroke symptoms such as dizziness and weakness in the limbs while working outdoors. The project immediately activated its emergency response plan. Medical personnel quickly moved the affected employee to a well-ventilated and shaded area, applied physical cooling using alcohol and ice packs, and administered CPR and oxygen support. After a series of emergency responses, the employee’s symptoms gradually alleviated. The entire drill process was intense and orderly, achieving the expected results.
This drill further verified the feasibility and effectiveness of the project’s heatstroke emergency plan, strengthened the safety awareness and emergency response capabilities of all personnel on site, and provided strong support for safe production during the high-temperature summer period. In the next step, the project will continue to follow the requirements of the company’s "Year of Project Management Improvement" campaign, continuously strengthen the construction of its emergency management system, improve on-site safety management levels, and safeguard the efficient operation of the power plant during the subsequent "summer peak demand" period.
