Morocco Jerada O&M Project Achieves Successful One-Time Startup and Grid Connection After Overhaul

On June 6 local time, the unit of the Morocco Jerada O&M Project successfully achieved one-time start-up and grid connection after overhaul, completing all maintenance tasks five days ahead of schedule, marking the successful completion of the 27-day Grade B overhaul.
The Grade B overhaul officially commenced on May 11, covering multiple disciplines including boiler, turbine, electrical, thermal control, coal handling, and utility systems. A total of 259 standard and special items were completed, along with 34 defect eliminations. During the overhaul period, the Morocco Jerada O&M Project Team confronted challenges such as high-temperature environment and extensive cross-operations, consistently upholding the principle of "safety first, quality foremost, overhaul what must be overhauled, and overhaul it well", and strictly implementing safety management and quality control requirements to ensure that all overhaul work progressed safely and orderly.
During the unit start-up and grid connection phase, the project implemented 24-hour shift duty, closely monitored equipment operating status and parameter changes, and strictly followed the start-up plan and operating procedures to efficiently complete boiler ignition, temperature and pressure ramping, turbine rolling and speed holding, generator grid connection, and various system tests. Ultimately, the unit successfully achieved one-time start-up and grid connection at 7:29 on June 6, completing the Grade B overhaul target five days ahead of schedule.
This Grade B overhaul has effectively improved equipment health, unit operational stability, and economic efficiency, creating favorable conditions for the unit’s subsequent long-term safe and stable operation. Going forward, the project will continue to strengthen equipment operation monitoring, equipment inspection, and refined maintenance management, continuously enhance O&M technical capability and production performance capacity, and leverage high-quality performance to drive the company’s overseas business high-quality development to a new level.
