Myanmar Thaketa O&M Project Jointly Conducts Special Flood Control and Disaster Prevention Safety Inspection with Owner

2026-03-27

In March 2026, as the flood season in Myanmar approaches and extreme weather events occur frequently, in order to implement the company's overseas safety production work arrangements, consolidate the primary responsibility for safety production, and prevent various safety risks during the flood season at the source, on March 26, the Myanmar Thaketa O&M Project jointly conducted a special flood control and disaster prevention safety inspection with the owner.
This inspection focused on the "four preventions" priorities: rain and flood prevention, wind reinforcement, high temperature and heat reduction, and small animal intrusion prevention. Led by Project Manager Wang Yongguo, the inspection team included management personnel from the owner and heads of various specialties from the project. Following the principle of "full coverage, no blind spots, zero omissions", the inspection team conducted a thorough grid-based investigation of key areas such as the grid control battery room, the 6.6 kV grid control room, drainage pumps, and drainage ditches. Key verification points included the management of flood control materials, the compliance of drainage facilities and electrical equipment with waterproof and lightning protection requirements, as well as the fixation of outdoor equipment and the operation status of temperature control and cooling equipment. For any hazards identified during the inspection, the team established on-site documentation, clarified rectification standards, responsible persons, and completion deadlines, and established a full-process closed-loop management mechanism to ensure that every hazard was rectified thoroughly and without compromise.
This inspection effectively addressed the project's shortcomings in safety management during the flood season and significantly deepened the joint prevention and control mechanism with the owner. In the next step, the project will closely monitor meteorological warning information, further improve the normalized inspection mechanism during the flood season, optimize emergency material management, and provide a solid guarantee for the safety of project personnel and equipment as well as the orderly advancement of on-site production and operation work.
