"United as One, Overcoming Difficulties Together" —Myanmar Thaketa O&M Project Organizes "Safety Production Month" Safety Skills Competition

To assess the project’s emergency response capabilities in the face of sudden incidents such as fires and to further enhance the emergency rescue abilities of all project staff, the Myanmar Thaketa O&M Project , in collaboration with the owner, organized a "Safety Production Month" safety skills competition on the afternoon of June 15th. The event was themed "Everyone Talks Safety, Everyone Knows Emergency Response – Ensuring Unlocked Life Passageways". He Yuxiang, Executive Director of United Energy Thaketa Power Company Limited, Yang Bing, Deputy General Manager, and all project personnel participated in the event.

In this safety skills competition, six teams were formed from the operations and maintenance departments. Using the method of "training through competition and promoting training through competition", the teams engaged in practical contests across three major events: on-site fire hose firefighting, four-legged rescue, and stretcher transport of the injured. With the start signal, the participants fiercely competed in the rain, fully demonstrating the team spirit and collaboration of the project employees. The competition comprehensively tested the practical emergency response capabilities of the project O&M team, and the event was a complete success.

After the competition concluded, the project conducted a summary session focusing on this event. In conjunction with the deployment of the "Safety Production Month" activities, all departments were urged to continuously enhance safety risk prevention and control. It was emphasized to effectively implement the primary responsibility for safety production, maintain a high level of vigilance regarding safety production, eliminate the occurrence of personal and equipment accidents, and fully ensure the smooth achievement of annual safety production goals and targets.

Next, the project will closely follow the theme of the "Safety Production Month" activities and continue to conduct various forms of safety awareness campaigns and emergency drills. This effort aims to deepen and solidify the "Safety Production Month" activities. By focusing on monthly safety measures and yearly planning, the project aims to enhance the overall safety production level of the project, ensuring the safe and stable operation of the units.
