Minister-Counselor Zheng Zhihong from the Embassy of China in Myanmar, along with his delegation, visited Myanmar Kyaukpyu O&M Project for an inspection and guidance

On June 9th, Minister-Counselor Zheng Zhihong and Counselor Ouyang Daobing from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar visited the Myanmar Kyaukpyu O&M Project for inspection and guidance. They were accompanied by Jiang Xingcheng, General Manager of Kyauk Phyu Electric Power Company Limited, and Wang Jian, Operations and Maintenance Project Manager.

 

The project team warmly welcomed the delegation led by Zheng Zhihong. Jiang Xingcheng and Wang Jian, representing the power plant and the Company respectively, provided reports on the plant's safety production, operational management, employee localization, and the current social situation. Zheng Zhihong expressed appreciation for the achievements of the power plant and highly recognized the professional skills and efficient operational capabilities of the the project operations and maintenance team. Furthermore, Zheng Zhihong introduced the current political and economic situation in Myanmar, conducted an in-depth analysis of how the current social circumstances affect the power plant's operations, and emphasized that in the face of a complex and ever-changing social environment, the project must remain vigilant, continuously enhance risk awareness and response measures, and ensure the safe and stable operation of the power station.

 

During the visit, Zheng Zhihong and his delegation toured various areas including the office building, archives room, central control building, and employee living quarters. They gained an in-depth understanding of the power plant's daily operations and the living conditions of its employees.

 

Next, the project will strictly implement the directives and requirements of the embassy, fully commit to the operation and maintenance of on-site equipment, and effectively enhance the project's production performance. The goal is to continually strengthen the company's brand influence in the Southeast Asia region and make greater contributions to the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
