To enhance the fire safety awareness and fire escape skills of all project members, and to effectively carry out fire safety work during the summer high temperatures, on July 18 local time, the Morocco Jerada O&M Project, in conjunction with the local provincial government of Jerada, the police department, the fire department, and the project owner (ONEE), organized a comprehensive firefighting drill for high temperatures in the summer.
For this drill, the project scientifically deployed according to the Moroccan national government order, focusing on a joint fire drill. Various professional teams were organized to carry out fire system inspections, major hazard inspections, emergency response measures checks, and the handling of potential hazards. The Governor of Jerada Province, along with representatives from the fire department and the police department, observed the fire alarm drill in the chemical building, the normative use of firefighting equipment, and the fire evacuation drill in the central control room. During the drill, the authorities affirmed the project’s comprehensive safety emergency system and well-equipped firefighting equipment and facilities, and they highly praised the achievements in the project's safety and environmental protection firefighting work.
This drill has effectively promoted communication and collaboration between the project, the local government, and the project owner in terms of fire safety work, and tested the scientific nature and effectiveness of the project's fire emergency plan. Moving forward, the project will continue to strengthen the maintenance and inspection of the on-site fire protection system, promptly eliminate various safety hazards, further optimize and improve the fire emergency plan, and enhance the project’s ability to handle various emergencies, ensuring the steady progress of safe production work in the project.
