Guangdong Yunfu O&M Project Organizes Main Transformer Fire Emergency Drill

To effectively enhance the fire safety awareness of all project members and further strengthen the project's emergency response capabilities in the event of a fire or other emergencies, the Guangdong Yunfu O&M Project organized a main transformer fire emergency drill on July 16.

The drill was conducted based on a scenario where heavy gas protection on the No. 3 main transformer caused insulation oil to catch fire. Upon discovering the fire, the operating personnel immediately reported to the duty supervisor, and the project quickly activated the emergency plan. The simulation included initial fire suppression, the use of firefighting equipment, and the safe evacuation of personnel. During the drill, participants performed their duties effectively and cooperated seamlessly, correctly operating the main transformer's sprinkler system. Thanks to the concerted efforts of all participants, the fire was promptly extinguished, resulting in a successful drill that achieved the desired outcome.

This drill tested the scientific validity, feasibility, and effectiveness of the project’s emergency plan, enhancing the project’s ability to prevent and respond to emergencies. Moving forward, the project will continue to strengthen equipment maintenance and management, conduct thorough hazard inspections and remediation, and firmly establish a safety production defense line to ensure the ongoing stability of safety production at the project site.
