To enhance the safety awareness of all project members and further improve their emergency response capabilities, on August 9th, Myanmar Kyaukpyu O&M Project organized a natural gas leak emergency drill at the pressure regulating station's gas pipeline.

Before the drill, the project team planned the procedures and steps in advance and organized training for participants on how to wear positive pressure respirators. The drill officially began at 10 a.m. The scenario was based on a natural gas leak at the inlet unit of the onsite pressure regulating station. Once the alarm sounded, the Operations Department immediately reported the incident, and the Chief Commander promptly ordered the activation of the emergency response plan. Emergency teams quickly assembled and, following the plan, the evacuation team set up a safety perimeter, the firefighting team used fire monitors to lower the gas concentration, and the emergency repair team accurately located the leak and commenced repair work. The entire drill was conducted in a tense and orderly manner, with participants handling the situation appropriately. Thanks to the efficient coordination among all emergency teams, the situation was effectively brought under control, and the drill was a complete success.
