Pakistan Haveli O&M Project Deploys Flood Relief Team of Chinese and Pakistani Employees to Affected Regions

Since September, Pakistan has been severely affected by upstream glacier melting and heavy rainfall, causing serious floods in many areas. Most residents in the area where the Pakistan Haveli O&M project is located are facing dual challenges of health threats and food shortages. After the disaster occurred, the Pakistan Haveli O&M project immediately held a special meeting to assess the flood situation and quickly deployed assistance work according to the flood emergency plan.

On September 14, the Pakistan Haveli O&M project organized a flood relief team composed of Chinese and Pakistani employees to arrive in the flood-affected areas around the project. They provided professional health diagnosis and emergency food assistance to 150 affected local residents, demonstrating corporate social responsibility through concrete actions.

While ensuring the safe production of the power station, the project O&M team proactively contacted local communities and government agencies, closely monitored the disaster situation and public needs, and specially established a flood relief team to actively provide assistance to surrounding community residents and employees affected by the floods. On September 14, the project’s flood relief team, along with medical personnel, brought emergency medicines and food to the disaster-stricken area and set up a temporary medical station. On site, medical personnel conducted detailed health diagnoses for affected residents and distributed corresponding medicines based on their conditions. After the diagnoses, the flood relief team distributed food to the affected residents. An elderly local who received assistance emotionally said: "The flood destroyed our homes. Thank you, SEPCOⅢ, for extending a helping hand in our most difficult time, bringing medical care and food. This has given us great comfort and hope."

This warm assistance is a concrete reflection of the project’s active fulfillment of social responsibility. It alleviated the living difficulties of local affected residents, received high recognition from the local government and people, and further enhanced the company’s brand image in the region. In the next step, the project will continue to closely monitor the progress of the disaster, maintain close communication with local communities, and provide continuous assistance as needed, contributing power construction strength to the local fight against the floods.
