On June 23, the Morocco Jerada O&M Project successfully received the final payment for the 2024 annual Operation and Maintenance (O&M) contract from the owner ONEE (Morocco’s National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water), which included incentives for unit availability and coal consumption optimization. This marks the successful conclusion of the project’s 2024 contract settlement.
In 2024, the Morocco Jerada O&M Project, in line with the company’s "Operational Control Year" initiatives, continuously strengthened equipment management and improved unit reliability. For coal consumption control and unit availability, the project implemented multi-dimensional optimization strategies, including enhanced coal management, technical improvements, and the development and execution of scientific preventive maintenance plans to ensure long-term safe and reliable operation. Additionally, during contract execution, the project’s commercial and production teams collaborated closely to analyze complex contract terms and negotiated key clauses with the owner to secure the optimal settlement solution. Eventually, the annual availability rate reached 93.62%, exceeding the contractual guarantee by 3.62 percentage points; the actual annual coal consumption was 459,100 tons, saving up to 10,200 tons of coal for the units, which was significantly lower than the theoretical coal consumption value for the whole year. Under the contract’s incentive terms, the project successfully secured substantial rewards for coal consumption optimization and availability. These incentives not only recognize the team’s dedication but also demonstrate the continuous performance improvement of the power plant units.
Moving forward, the project will adhere to the company’s "Management Innovation Year" requirements, ensuring high-quality O&M performance to support the company’s sustainable and high-quality development.
