On June 17, the Myanmar Thaketa O&M Project, in collaboration with the owner, organized a fun safety skills competition for "Safety Production Month." Participants included the Executive Director of United Energy Taketa Power Co., Ltd., relevant management personnel, and staff from various departments of the project.
The competition focused on emergency response and basic safety knowledge, featuring four unique events: "Happy Fax" (explaining safety warning signs), "Sit-and-Stand" (safety knowledge quiz), "Wearing a Breathing Apparatus for 50-Meter Stretcher Rescue" (emergency response drill), and "Proper Use of Personal Protective Equipment". These activities aimed to enhance employees’ safety skills through practical challenges. At the event, teams worked together seamlessly upon the starting signal, demonstrating a competitive yet collaborative spirit. Cheers, shouts, and commands filled the air. After intense competition, the Maintenance Division emerged as the champion. The Executive Director of United Energy Taketa Power Co., Ltd. and Project Manager Wang Yongguo presented awards to the winning team and took commemorative photos.
The competition effectively improved the safety awareness and emergency response capabilities of project staff. Moving forward, the project will use this event as an opportunity to further deepen safety education, fully implement safety responsibility systems at all levels, and translate the competition’s outcomes into tangible improvements in workplace safety, thereby strengthening the safety foundation for the company’s high-quality development.
