2024-11-17

On November 15 local time, the 1×350MW unit of the Morocco Jerada O&M Project was successfully disconnected from the grid, marking the official commencement of the 2024 Unit C Overhaul.

The overhaul is scheduled to last 17 days, with 286 maintenance tasks planned, including one technical modification project and 78 technical supervision projects. The scope of work includes inspecting and replacing the boiler's internal heating surfaces, inspecting the interior of the bag filter, monitoring the interior of the low-pressure cylinder, cleaning oil system filters, modifying the mechanical seal water isolation valve of the booster pump, conducting protection calibration for the booster station, and upgrading the power supply for the flame detector cooling fan.

To ensure the smooth progress of the Unit C overhaul, the project team held a mobilization meeting on November 9. Following the 2024 Morocco Jerada Unit C Overhaul Management Manual, a comprehensive deployment and coordination plan was established. During the meeting, the C Overhaul Command Center was formed, comprising department heads, and dedicated task groups were established. Key tasks and detailed implementation plans for each phase were outlined to ensure that the overhaul proceeds in a well-organized, solid, and orderly manner.

Next, the maintenance team will adhere to the principle of "repair what needs to be repaired, and repair it well", strictly following technical standards and operating procedures. The goal is to ensure that all equipment and facilities achieve optimal operating conditions after the overhaul, laying a solid foundation for the unit's long-term safe and efficient operation.
