On June 5, 2025, the Pakistan Haveli O&M Project, in collaboration with local government environmental authorities and the project owner, organized an environmental activity themed "End Plastic Pollution" to mark the 54th World Environment Day, with participation from all Chinese and Pakistani employees of the project department.

At the beginning of the event, the head of the HSE Department educated both local and expatriate staff on the origins of World Environment Day and the significance of environmental protection. This was followed by a solemn pledge by all participants: to internalize environmental protection principles, translate them into actions, and strive to become guardians of the green power plant. The resounding vow demonstrated the project team's unwavering commitment to environmental causes. After the pledge, the project organized Chinese and Pakistani employees into groups for hands-on environmental activities. Participants enthusiastically engaged in cleaning operations, conducting comprehensive sanitation and improvement work in key areas of the power plant. To conclude the event, an environmental awareness session was held, where reusable bags and informational brochures were distributed to educate staff on practical eco-friendly practices like energy conservation and waste classification. This initiative aimed to pass the "green baton" from employees to more community members, further enhancing environmental awareness both within the project team and surrounding neighborhoods.

The activity significantly boosted the project team's ecological awareness, highlighting the company's commitment to sustainable development and local environmental stewardship in overseas operations. Moving forward, the project will continue to thoroughly implement the company's concept of innovative, coordinated, green, open and shared development, further advancing green operation and maintenance management. By working hand-in-hand with Pakistani partners to protect the power plant and its surrounding environment, the team will contribute even more substantially to building a green Belt and Road.
