As the peak summer electricity demand season approaches in the Philippines, in order to ensure the safe and stable operation of the solar PV power stations and to continue securing energy supply during this critical period, the Company's Philippines San Marcelino & Lal-lo Solar PV O&M Project conducted a special inspection for potential hazards on May 25.
Located in the tropics, Philippines faces extreme weather conditions during summer, including high temperatures, heavy rainfall, and typhoons, which pose significant challenges to the operation of solar PV power stations. This inspection focused on equipment safety, operational efficiency, and emergency management, aiming to identify and eliminate potential risks. A thorough examination was carried out on key components such as PV panel arrays, inverters, transformer substations, cable lines, and lightning protection and grounding systems. At the same time, testing of critical areas such as fire protection equipment and flood drainage systems was reinforced to ensure efficient and stable operation of the power stations in hot and humid conditions. During the inspection, the O&M team also conducted simulations of scenarios such as sudden power outages and equipment failures to refine the project’s emergency response plans and effectively enhance the team’s overall emergency response capabilities.
Next, the project will continue to uphold the work principles of "High Standards, Strict Requirements, Detail Orientation, and Pragmatic Implementation", further strengthening refined O&M management of the power stations. By utilizing intelligent monitoring systems to track equipment performance in real time and conducting regular preventive maintenance, the team aims to maximize power generation efficiency and build a solid safety barrier for the high-load operation of the solar PV stations during the summer.
