Morocco Jerada O&M Project, in collaboration with the Moroccan Office of Vocational Training and Employment Promotion (OFPPT), has jointly established an internship base

On the afternoon of May 23 local time, Morocco Jerada O&M Project and the Moroccan Office of Vocational Training and Employment Promotion (OFPPT) held a signing and unveiling ceremony for the jointly established internship base at the project site. The ceremony was hosted by Project Manager Chen Hengwei and attended by OFPPT Manager Mr. Mohammed Hamdi, Deputy Manager Mr. Ahmed Laamri, as well as representatives of the faculty and students.

 

At the ceremony, Chen Hengwei expressed heartfelt gratitude to OFPPT and the Moroccan government for their longstanding support and assistance to the project. Both parties reviewed the development journey of the Jerada Power Plant and its positive contributions to ensuring the safe and stable supply of electricity in Morocco, promoting local employment, and advancing economic and social development. Mohammed Hamdi stated that the establishment of the internship base is an innovative practice in deepening talent development and technical exchange. It is also an important initiative to enhance the professional skills and vocational competence of local talent. He expressed hope that both sides will continue to strengthen communication and cooperation, achieve the integrated and optimized use of resources between the enterprise and the local community, and yield new outcomes in talent training, livelihood improvement, and power infrastructure development in Morocco. Following the speeches, representatives from OFPPT and the Morocco Jerada O&M Project officially signed the agreement on the joint establishment of the internship base and unveiled the nameplate.

 

This collaboration marks an important step forward in the partnership between the Morocco Jerada O&M Project and the local government in the areas of talent development, internships, and employment. Moving forward, the project will continue to fulfill its social responsibilities, leverage its expertise in power operation and maintenance technology and management, and deepen cooperation with the local government in the field of vocational education and training in Morocco, contributing to a new chapter of mutual benefit and shared development between the enterprise and the local community.
