Myanmar Thaketa O&M Project Launches Flood Prevention and Disaster Mitigation Safety Inspection Campaign
2025-05-21
To effectively address flood season risks and challenges and ensure stable operation of the project units during the rainy season, Myanmar Thaketa O&M Project carried out a comprehensive flood prevention and disaster mitigation safety inspection on May 18, focusing on key areas and flood control facilities.
During the inspection, the project team adhered to meticulous planning and precise coordination. A systematic inspection was conducted on key drainage facilities and emergency control equipment, including drainage channels, emergency diesel generators, and drainage pumps. Emergency power switching and power supply reliability tests were also carried out on critical unit equipment. Based on the inspection findings, the team promptly compiled a list of issues, ensuring that each problem was documented, assigned a deadline for rectification, and followed up by designated personnel for re-inspection. This approach ensured a closed-loop management process where every potential hazard was “identified, addressed, and cleared”. The comprehensive and accurate inspection significantly enhanced the effectiveness of the project’s flood prevention efforts, providing a strong safeguard for on-site safety during the flood season.
Going forward, the Myanmar Thaketa O&M Project will continue to uphold the work principles of “High Standards, Strict Requirements, Detail Orientation, and Pragmatic Implementation”. The team will further optimize the flood season safety and prevention system, carry out flood prevention and disaster mitigation efforts with a solid and meticulous approach, and ensure the safe and stable operation of project units throughout the rainy season.
