On March 26, Morocco Jerada O&M Project team met with CHAKIB BELFKIH, the newly appointed Governor of Jerada Province, Morocco, for discussions.

At the meeting, Chen Hengwei expressed his sincere gratitude to the Jerada Provincial Government for its longstanding support and assistance to the project. He provided a detailed overview of the project's operations, production performance, and contract fulfillment. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on the operation and maintenance of the Jerada Power Plant, fulfilling social responsibilities, and promoting local employment. CHAKIB BELFKIH acknowledged the project's contributions and achievements in ensuring Morocco’s stable and secure power supply, fostering local employment, and driving economic and social development. He emphasized that the Jerada Power Plant is not only the "core engine" of power supply in eastern Morocco but also a model of friendly cooperation between China and Morocco.

 

During the meeting, both parties had in-depth discussions on the implementation plan for a charitable donation initiative during Ramadan. Chen Hengwei stated that the project would collaborate with the Jerada Provincial Government and local charitable organizations to distribute customized food packages to 200 impoverished families in the region. These packages will include essential Ramadan supplies such as flour, cooking oil, and milk. CHAKIB BELFKIH highly recognized and praised the project's efforts in carrying out this donation initiative. In conclusion, both parties expressed their expectation that this meeting would serve as a starting point for further deepening exchanges and cooperation, continuously driving new breakthroughs in local energy development and livelihood security.

 

This meeting strengthened mutual trust and cooperation between the Morocco Jerada O&M Project team and the local government, playing a positive role in further enhancing the company's brand recognition and influence in Morocco.
