Luneng Haixi CSP O&M Project conducts full-plant blackout emergency drill
2025-02-27
To strengthen emergency response capabilities for unexpected incidents and ensure the safe and stable operation of CSP facilities, the Luneng Haixi CSP O&M Project carried out a full-plant power outage emergency drill on February 25.
The drill strictly simulated a sudden full-plant power outage scenario. Upon the announcement of the drill initiation by the directing personnel, the project immediately activated its emergency response mechanism. On-duty O&M personnel carried out shutdown operations in a swift and orderly manner in accordance with the emergency plan. After the units were safely shut down, the electrical technical team simultaneously launched fault detection procedures for the power system, quickly pinpointing the fault location through professional testing methods and eliminating all faults using standardized emergency measures. With seamless coordination among participating teams, the auxiliary power system was successfully restored, and under the unified command of the shift supervisor, operators gradually restarted the units following the hot-start procedures, ultimately achieving the safe resumption of the entire system. Throughout the drill, accident information was conveyed accurately and promptly, operational steps were closely coordinated, and technical measures were executed in a standardized manner, fully validating the scientific rigor and feasibility of the project's emergency plan.
Moving forward, the project will implement targeted rectifications for weaknesses identified during the drill, continuously optimize and improve the emergency plan, and focus on building a full-chain safety management mechanism covering prevention, response, handling, and recovery, providing solid support for the high-quality operation of the CSP plant.
