2024-01-08

On January 6th, the Pakistan Haveli O&M Project organized a safety open class activity, and all Chinese staff members of the project participated in the event.

The open class was presided over by the project manager, Tao Zhangwei. The course covered four aspects: Understanding important remarks of General Secretary Xi Jinping, firmly establishing the concept of safe development”, Studying laws and regulations on workplace safety, accurately grasping primary responsibilities”, Analyzing typical accident cases, deeply reflecting on and learning from lessons”, and Understanding the performance requirements of the four systems”. These topics were elaborately explained to the project’s staff. Following that, the project’s employees collectively watched a cautionary video on the January 12, 2022, water infiltration incident at the Power Station in Guanzhou Village, Danba, Sichuan”. Through the educational warnings of safety incidents, the staff's awareness of the dual duties in one single role” and the "three supervisions and three necessities" for safety production was further reinforced.

Finally, regarding the safety production work plan for the year 2024, Project Manager Tao Zhangwei has put forward the following requirements for the project employees:

Firstly, the project must adhere to the principle of safety first, prevention as the main focus, establish a comprehensive safety and emergency framework, and promote the transformation of the project’s safety governance model towards proactive prevention.

Secondly, the safety management department of the project should advance the special rectification of safety production risks, strengthen safety supervision in key professions and key areas.

Thirdly, members of the project leadership team must ensure the implementation of work, change their working style, and fortify the firewall” of safety production, allowing the alarm bells for safety to ring continuously.

Fourthly, it is necessary to continue in-depth safety hazard investigation and governance in the project, further enhancing the construction of the project’s emergency rescue system.

Next, the project will continue to strengthen safety supervision, strictly control safety critical points, promptly eliminate various on-site safety hazards, and transform the learning outcomes of the safety open class into a powerful driving force for effectively managing safety production in the project. This is to ensure that subsequent safety production work proceeds smoothly and in an orderly manner.
