2024-05-17

This May 12th marks the 16th National Disaster Prevention and Reduction Day, with the week of May 11th to 17th designated as Disaster Prevention and Reduction Week. To effectively carry out disaster prevention and reduction awareness activities and further enhance the safety awareness of all employees, the Company organized a series of activities for Disaster Prevention and Reduction Awareness Week across various units from May 11th to 17th.

In line with the goals of “Safety is a constant alarm, disaster prevention and reduction are urgent tasks! Enhance disaster prevention awareness, master first aid and self-rescue skills”, each unit of the Company focused on high temperatures, strong winds, heavy rain, fire, earthquake safety, and emergency rescue. They used various methods such as video promotions, on-site explanations, skill training, and emergency drills to educate employees on disaster prevention and reduction knowledge, as well as risk avoidance and self-rescue skills.

During the event, the Pakistan Haveli O&M Project enhanced the emergency response skills of all personnel in high-risk areas such as high voltage, lifting operations, hazardous chemicals, oil tank zones, and hydrogen production stations, in line with the Disaster Prevention and Reduction Awareness Week plan. This strengthened disaster prevention and reduction efforts for on-site risk operations, ensuring the safety of personnel and equipment. The Qinghai Gonghe CSP O&M Project conducted earthquake and fire emergency evacuation drills to test the feasibility of their emergency evacuation plans, effectively raising employees' disaster prevention awareness and risk avoidance capabilities. The Saudi Arabia Ras Al Khair O&M Project carried out high-temperature heatstroke emergency drills to evaluate the effectiveness and scientific basis of their heatstroke emergency plans, significantly improving employees' safety awareness and emergency response skills during sudden incidents, thus providing strong assurance for safe production during the summer heat. The Kuwait Az-south O&M Project organized employees to watch disaster prevention and reduction educational videos, created illustrated information boards, and distributed informational brochures on disaster prevention and reduction. This educated employees on safety production, disaster prevention, emergency response, and self-rescue, comprehensively enhancing their safety awareness and self-rescue capabilities.

The implementation of this event further enhanced the disaster prevention and reduction awareness and risk prevention capabilities of all units within the Company. It created a positive atmosphere of full participation and attention to disaster prevention and reduction efforts. Moving forward, the Company will continue to intensify the promotion of disaster prevention and reduction knowledge, strengthen grassroots disaster prevention and risk avoidance capabilities, and effectively reinforce the safety barrier to ensure the safe and orderly production at all project sites.
