To enhance the safety production awareness of power enterprises in Myanmar, ensure the safety of personnel working on projects in Myanmar, and comprehensively reinforce the primary responsibility for safety production among Chinese-funded power enterprises in Myanmar, the Power Division of the Chinese Enterprises Chamber in Myanmar organized a collaborative learning and development event along with a "Safety Production Month" activity at the Myanmar Thaketa O&M Project on June 29. Over 20 representatives from Chinese-funded power enterprises in Myanmar attended the event, including Counselor Ouyang Daobing from the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar, Secretary Li Xiulian of the Power Division of the Chinese Enterprises Chamber in Myanmar, He Yuxiang, Executive Director of Yunnan Energy Investment United Energy Thaketa  Power Co., Ltd., and Wang Yongguo, Deputy Manager of the Myanmar Thaketa O&M Project.

In the morning, Ouyang Daobing and his delegation, led by Wang Yongguo, visited the production site of the Myanmar Thaketa O&M Project. Ouyang Daobing highly praised the Thaketa Power Plant for its significant contributions to Myanmar's power industry and socio-economic development. He pointed out that the Thaketa Power Plant is a successful example of Chinese-funded power enterprises' development in Myanmar. Its innovative practices and advanced experiences in safety production management are worth learning from and emulating by Myanmar's power industry peers.

During the discussion and exchange session, representatives from various participating enterprises shared successful cases and management experiences in safety management innovation and emergency response to accidents. Ouyang Daobing acknowledged the achievements of Chinese-funded power enterprises in Myanmar in safety production. He emphasized that, given the current turbulent economic situation in Myanmar, Chinese power enterprises should further strengthen their safety awareness and fortify their safety production defenses. By learning from each other, complementing each other, assisting each other, and interacting with each other, they can ensure that safety production and business development progress in harmony. This will enable resource sharing, shared experiences, and collective risk prevention, helping them jointly overcome difficulties encountered in production and operations and collectively promote the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.

During this event, the representatives of the participating enterprises reached a consensus on the importance of safety production management and information sharing, promoting communication and exchange among Chinese-funded power enterprises in Myanmar. This created favorable conditions for the future safety production operations of the Myanmar Thaketa O&M Project. Moving forward, the project will strengthen security measures and improve on-site safety management to ensure the safe and stable operation of the power plant.
