Nigeria Project Phase I Power Plant Passes Available Capacity Demonstration
From 4:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. of February 20th, 2017, Nigeria Project Phase I carried out the available capacity demonstration. After the operation of 7 units with 266MW high load for 4hs, the project received acceptance from both NBET and NCC.
On 17th, the project received notice from the owner that NBET and NCC will carry out the capacity demonstration on 20th to the power plant. The result will be seen as the basis of capacity distribution of 2017 and also relate to the state compensation fee to power loss caused by noself reason.
The leaders of owner pay high attention to the matter. The owner reported available capacity is 266MW, GE 6B design capacity is 42MW (ISO), but due to the terrible environment and backward social and economic conditions, realizing 38MW on each unit is still difficult.
Therefore, the project prepared and planned carefully, organized all the departments to analyse and discuss the matter and held explanation meeting for the owners.
At 4:00 a.m., all the O&M staffs of the project came to their positions on time, and the project leader also came to the site. All the personnel cooperated closely and carefully. Though the lack of natural gas caused GT1 reduced load 8MW, the result was still excellent depending on the good performance of GT2 and GT4 with the maintenance for hot channel in 2016.
After the capacity demonstration, the owner chairman sent E-mail to the project with congratulation and appreciation.
At the beginning of the new year, Huafeng Weiye Company Nigeria O&M Project finished the capacity demonstration with their professional skills, achieved another success, won recognition from the owner and strengthened the cooperation with the owner.
