Company Wins Second Prize of Science & Technology Award by <660MW Oil-Fired Unit without Human Intervention FCB Technology>

  On October 30th, 2014, at the ‘2014 Technology Work Conference as Science & Technology Award Ceremony’ held by CACEM in Beijing China Science and Technology Hall, our company’s science project <660MW Oil-Fired Unit without Human Intervention FCB Technology> won second prize of science & technology, and Mr. Li Shanggang, Deputy Manager of Huafeng Weiye Company, Mr. Lv Tao, Chief Engineer, and Mr. Chu Wenqiang, Commissioning Chief Engineer, won third prize of China Power Construction Science and Technology Awards.
  
  <660MW Oil-Fired Unit without Human Intervention FCB Technology> was completed and implemented by Mr. Li Shanggang, Deputy Manager of Huafeng Weiye Company, Mr. Lv Tao, Chief Engineer, and Mr. Chu Wenqiang, Commissioning Chief Engineer, in the commissioning process of Saudi Arabia Rabigh Project. This technology overcame the difficulties in control and coordination when unit’s working condition changed greatly, achieved without human intervention by using complicated auto control, made the unit achieve load dump and decoupled mode safely and steadily, and optimized feedwater control, fuel control, air control and bypass control. Under this technology, the steam turbine could use the speed control mode with primary frequency modulation feed forward and shut the main adjusting valve with electric prior to OPC operation. The speed of steam turbine directly moves to the stated speed after once overspeed, and there is no second overspeed shake. The feedwater control uses speed limit and pre-judge, makes the drum water level be steady after second shake by quick opening re-circulation and joining flow adjusting. The bypass can automatically slide pressure under present pressure. Under the coordination control combining steam turbine, boiler and electric, the unit’s working situation can be safely controlled and moved to a new working situation in 20 minutes, and there is no human intervention in the whole progress. The Rabigh project was constructed by SEPCO III as an EPC contractor, and Huafeng Weiye Company used this new technology in the commissioning process as the commissioning company and achieved great success.
