Morocco Jerada O&M Project successfully completed the annual power generation target

As of midnight on November 11 local time, the Morocco Jerada O&M Project’s cumulative power generation for 2024 reached 2.335 billion kWh, achieving 100.25% of the annual target. Since the project took over operations, it has completed the annual power generation goal ahead of schedule for seven consecutive years, with a total cumulative output exceeding 17.8 billion kWh.

 

Since the beginning of this year, the Morocco Jerada O&M Project team has been focused on achieving the annual power generation target, continuously strengthening comprehensive equipment management, and improving unit health levels. They have taken multiple measures to ensure every kWh counts. In the summer of 2024, faced with rare and sustained extreme high temperatures and the challenging power supply situation, the project operation and maintenance team strictly implemented the efficient operation of the air-cooling island spraying system, ensuring the Jerada power plant units consistently operated at full load with high back pressure. This supported the Moroccan grid in managing peak electricity demand. Through a series of power supply guarantee measures, the project team successfully completed the 2024 “summer peak load” work and achieved a continuous 200-day "no unplanned shutdowns" in operation, effectively ensuring a stable and safe power supply for the eastern region of Morocco during the summer. This laid a solid foundation for the project team to successfully meet the annual production targets.

 

Moving forward, the project team will continue to uphold the work philosophy of "mitigating risks, ensuring contract performance, strengthening management, and improving quality and efficiency". They will further optimize equipment operation methods, deepen operation and maintenance quality management, and enhance the project's production and contract fulfillment capabilities, contributing to the company's high-quality, sustainable development.
