Company takes over O&M jobs of Qinghai Gonghe 50MW CSP Plant Project

At 00:00 of July 1, 2022, the O&M team of Huafeng Weiye Company took over the O&M jobs of Qinghai Gonghe 50MW CSP Plant Project from Qinghai Branch Company of POWERCHINA Renewable Energy Co., Ltd. and the original O&M team, and officially started the O&M jobs of the power plant.
With the support of company leaders and relevant departments, Huafeng Weiye Company successfully won the bid for the Gonghe 50MW CSP Plant Project on May 26, 2022. In order to ensure the smooth takeover of the O&M jobs and lay a solid foundation for the safe and stable operation of the units, the company organized its professional CSP O&M team, the Northwest Business Division, to set up a project preparation team. On June 9, they entered the site in advance, and made comprehensive preparations for taking over the O&M jobs. At 0:00 of July 1, the takeover was successfully completed as planned.
On July 2, the O&M team successfully completed the first safe startup and shutdown of the unit after the takeover.
The Qinghai Gonghe CSP Plant Project is a 1×50MW tower-type molten salt CSP plant with 6h heat storage. It is located in the Hainan Ecological Solar Power Park, Gonghe County, Hainan Prefecture, Qinghai Province, with an average altitude of 2880 meters. The construction of the project was started on June 18, 2017, and was connected to the grid for power generation on September 19, 2019. Its total area is about 2.1 square kilometers, the total installed capacity is 50MW, the annual designed power generation is 156.924 million kWh, and the annual power generation utilization hours could be 3138 hours, according to the standard coal consumption of thermal power (318g/KW), it can save 51,200 tons of standard coal, reduce CO2 emissions by 154,000 tons, reduce NO2 emissions by 591.4 tons, and reduce smoke emissions by about 692.2 tons.
Qinghai is the most representative area for the concentrated development of the entire industrial chain of CSP in China. The successful takeover of the first CSP project of POWERCHINA Renewable Energy Co., Ltd. is the further development of the company's new energy O&M business in the new energy field of Qinghai, which is of great significance for further enriching the company's new energy O&M works.
