Myanmar Thaketa O&M Project organizes maintenance kick-off meeting


On the afternoon of November 22, 2021, Myanmar Thaketa O&M Project organized a unit maintenance kick-off meeting. Mr. Zhao Jin, the owner’s executive director, Mr. Wang Jian, the deputy manager and the fifth Party branch secretary, Mr. Wang Yongguo, the deputy manager of the project, Mr. Zhang Peng, deputy manager of the Safety and Environmental Protection Dept of Huafeng Weiye Company, Mr. Tian Zhigang, the thermal control expert, and personnel from various departments attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Mr. Wang Jian, the project manager.
Mr. Zhao firstly introduced the importance of the power plant in Yangon, and made key requirements for the outage and maintenance work of the units, the quality requirements, standards and safety management of the maintenance projects. Subsequently, Mr. Wang Jian, the project manager, put forward specific requirements for all personnel regarding the safety management, quality assurance, process monitoring and construction period management of the maintenance work, requiring personnel at all levels to fully perform their job safety responsibilities and continue to strengthen technical quality guarantee, strictly control wasteful behaviors in the overhaul process, and strictly obey the Myanmar power grid dispatch to ensure that the overhaul is completed within the planned construction period.
According to the overall maintenance plan, the maintenance work was officially started on November 20, with the gas turbine hot aisle inspection as the linear control construction period, and the turbine generator rotor replaced with the auxiliary control construction period. The estimated total construction period is 20 days. The maintenance items involved boiler safety valve verification, steam turbine generator and transformer group protection device verification, turbine crank cooling, steam turbine main transformer interval inspection, electrical test and spray test, etc., and other defects were eliminated. Next, all employees of the project will strictly implement the requirements of the maintenance kick-off meeting, continue to play the Iron Army work style, strictly control the epidemic prevention and control checkpoints, and successfully complete the maintenance task with quality and quantity.
