Myanmar Thaketa O&M Project organizes safety training and knowledge contest for Burmese staff

In order to effectively strengthen the safety production management, education, training and publicity work of the project, and improve the safety production quality of Burmese staff, on June 17, 2021, Myanmar Thaketa O&M Project organized safety knowledge contest and knowledge training for Burmese staff. All Burmese personnel from the production department of the project participated in the training. Four teams from the operation department and the technical and economic department participated in the knowledge contest.
The knowledge contest covers the basic knowledge of electric safety production regulations, two tickets and labor protection, production site practices and other aspects. The topics are flexible and changeable, and the contestants are actively participating. After the knowledge contest, the safety engineers of the project trained all Burmese personnel on safety knowledge such as positive pressure respirator, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Heimlich first aid method, trauma first aid method, five-point seat belt, etc., all personnel present listened carefully, asked detailed questions, and actively participated in practical interactions.
At the end of the activity, Mr. Wang Jian, Secretary of the Fifth Party Branch and Deputy Project Manage, made a summary and put forward the following requirements for on-site participants and trainees based on the current key works of the project: First, this year is the centenary of the Party, and it is also the third anniversary of operating the project, so all employees should ensure the stability of safe production, production indicators, and the workforce under the premise of preventing epidemics. The second is to do a good job in the three-year special rectification of production safety, continue to promote the construction of a dual prevention mechanism for safety risk management and control and hidden danger investigation and management, improve the management level and ability of personnel at all levels; Third, the safety and technical training of the project should be tilted to Burmese personnel, and the training of safety production knowledge for these staff should be continuously strengthened to enhance their safety awareness; The fourth is to further improve the emergency response of various accidents in the project, targeted strengthen pre-plan drills, and enhance accident emergency response capabilities.
The safety knowledge contest and training made the Burmese personnel further realize the importance of safety and self-rescue, feel the combat effectiveness and cohesion of the team, and at the same time in-depth publicized the electric safety production norms, which is helpful to further guide the employees to prevent and contain various accidents starting from themselves, strengthen the safety construction of production teams, and further consolidate the foundation for safe production.
