Company has successfully signed the maintenance contract for the Tibet Zabuye Integrated Energy Project

On September 26, 2024, the Company and Baowu Clean Energy (Tibet) Co., Ltd. officially signed the technical service contract for the maintenance of the comprehensive energy station of the Tibet Zabuye Supply-Grid-Load-Storage Integrated Energy Supply Project. Attendees at the signing ceremony included Cai Fangwei, Senior Vice President of Baowu Clean Energy Co., Ltd.; Li Wenwu, Vice President of Baowu Clean Energy Co., Ltd.; Tang Qingrong, General Manager of Baowu Clean Energy (Tibet) Co., Ltd.; Yu Feng, Deputy Leader of the Preparatory Team for the Zabuye Supply-Grid-Load-Storage Project; Peng Hong, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Company; Ma Shumei, Deputy General Manager and Chairman of the Labor Union; and Hou Bin, Deputy Chief Engineer and General Manager of the New Energy Company.
The Tibet Zabuye Supply-Grid-Load-Storage Integrated Energy Supply Project is located on the southeastern side of Zabuye Salt Lake, approximately 165 kilometers north of Zhongba County in Shigatse City, at an elevation of over 4,500 meters. The project includes a 40 MW parabolic trough solar thermal power plant, a 35 MW photovoltaic power plant, and a 20 MW/40 MWh energy storage system. As the world's first "Everest Project" to operate a clean energy isolated grid using a solar thermal power plant as the primary power source in a high-altitude, grid-end region, the project plays a critical role in ensuring energy supply. It holds significant importance for future exploration of solar thermal project construction and operation in plateau areas and for promoting the socio-economic development of the Tibet region. The service scope of the contract signed by the Company includes trial operation of the photovoltaic and energy storage system during the project's completion phase, equipment management, equipment unboxing and inspection, verification of spare parts and special tools, maintenance of the comprehensive energy station, photovoltaic module cleaning, chemical procurement, registration of controlled substances, and inspections of the solar field and photovoltaic energy storage areas.
The technical service contract for the maintenance of the comprehensive energy station of the Tibet Zabuye Supply-Grid-Load-Storage Integrated Energy Supply Project is another major solar thermal power plant operation and maintenance (O&M) contract signed by the Company, guided by the parent company’s strategic deployment in the new energy sector. This achievement was made possible with the care and support of relevant leaders of the parent company, and the guidance and assistance from the relevant departments and the EPC project team. It represents yet another milestone for the company after years of deep engagement in the solar thermal O&M market. The successful signing of the project demonstrates the owner's trust and recognition of the company’s technical capabilities and service quality in commissioning and O&M. It is of great significance in further solidifying the company’s leading position in the solar thermal O&M industry and enhancing the company’s brand influence and reputation. Following the contract signing, the company organized a special meeting on-site to plan and coordinate the project's preparation and organizational work.
In the next phase, the Company will closely align with the parent company's new energy strategic plan, integrate advantageous resources, and effectively enhance the operational capabilities and service quality of the project’s O&M team. The company will ensure high-quality and efficient project execution, deepen cooperation with Baowu Clean Energy, and help elevate its solar thermal business to new heights.
