Company has successfully won the bid for O&M service project of the Bengkulu 2×100MW coal-fired power plant in Indonesia

On June 5, 2025, the Company received the Notification of Award for the operation and maintenance service project of the 2×100 MW coal-fired power plant in Bengkulu, Indonesia, marking a major breakthrough for the company in the thermal power O&M sector in Southeast Asia.
With the care and support of the company leadership and the guidance and assistance from relevant departments at the company headquarter and the Asia-Pacific Regional Divsion of Overseas Business Development Department, the Company’s awarded service scope includes comprehensive and professional operation and maintenance work such as equipment operation, maintenance, technical optimization, and safety management for the power plant. The project is located in Bengkulu Province on Sumatra Island, Indonesia. It is POWERCHINA’s first power investment project in Indonesia and also the largest foreign investment project in Bengkulu Province. The project includes a 2×100 MW coal-fired power plant, a coal unloading dock, a 150kV transmission and transformation line, and supporting facilities.The efficient operation of this project plays a positive role in alleviating the power shortage in Sumatra Island and the Bengkulu region, optimizing the power and energy structure of Sumatra Island, driving economic growth in Bengkulu, and improving local people’s livelihoods.
The successful bid fully demonstrates the Company’s technical strength and proven expertise in intelligent operation and maintenance and lean management of coal-fired power plants, leveraging the full industrial chain advantages of the parent company’s EPCO model. It also highlights the company’s core competitiveness in the international power plant O&M market, laying a solid foundation for further expansion and deep cultivation of the power commissioning and O&M market in Southeast Asia.
