To effectively enhance the project’s emergency response capabilities and ensure the safety of employees during travel, Pakistan Haveli O&M Project, in collaboration with the local Special Protection Unit (SPU) and the security team, organized an anti-terrorism and riot control emergency drill on April 20.

The drill simulated a terrorist attack on a project vehicle while en route. Upon the command from the on-site commander, all participants swiftly entered combat mode: the armored vehicle driver immediately initiated emergency braking procedures, the accompanying SPU officer took cover behind the vehicle and returned fire to suppress the attackers, while the on-site security personnel simultaneously sent out a distress signal with location coordinates. The local police responded promptly, arriving at the scene in the shortest possible time, and successfully subdued the terrorists in coordination with the security forces. The team then organized the orderly evacuation of vehicles and personnel. In addition, the drill featured a specialized assessment module for drivers, simulating scenarios such as tire blowouts and roadblocks to evaluate their emergency maneuvering skills and response capabilities. The entire drill was intense and efficient, with tightly coordinated procedures and seamless teamwork, achieving the expected outcomes.

After the drill, the project, together with the local police, conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the entire exercise and proposed improvement suggestions regarding route selection, intelligence-sharing mechanisms, and more. Moving forward, the project will closely monitor surrounding security developments and continue to enhance the integrated security system combining manpower, technology, and physical protection. These efforts aim to ensure the safety of all personnel and assets, providing strong support for the safe and efficient operation of the project units.
