During the Spring Festival, while families gathered to celebrate the new year, employees from overseas O&M projects remained dedicated to their posts with unwavering commitment, ensuring the safe and stable operation of power plants and the reliable electricity supply in Pakistan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, and other countries. This solidified the company's role in upholding the energy supply responsibility of a centrally-administered state-owned enterprise.
To ensure that frontline employees enjoyed a joyful and warm Spring Festival despite being far from home, the company organized a series of “Golden Snake Welcomes Spring” celebration activities on January 28th and 29th, bringing festive cheer to both Chinese and foreign employees across the overseas O&M projects. These events alleviated homesickness among employees while creating a strong sense of warmth and celebration.
On Chinese New Year's Eve, the Morocco Jerada O&M Project, Pakistan Haveli O&M Project, and Iraq Garraf O&M Project gathered Chinese and foreign employees to make dumplings and prepare reunion dinners. Everyone actively participated in different roles — kneading the dough, rolling wrappers, and wrapping dumplings. Laughter and festive cheer filled the air as dumplings, symbolizing blessings and good fortune, gradually took shape. That evening, the project teams hosted New Year's Eve dinners, where all employees gathered around, enjoyed the dumplings they made together, raised their glasses to toast the new year, and exchanged heartfelt greetings to welcome the arrival of the Chinese New Year.
On the first day of the Chinese New Year, project management teams from Saudi Arabia Ras Al Khair O&M Project, Iraq Garraf O&M Project, and Morocco Jerada O&M Project visited the frontline work sites to express gratitude to the Chinese and foreign employees who remained on duty during the festival. They extended heartfelt holiday greetings and New Year wishes to all staff. Following this, each overseas project organized a variety of festive recreational activities, including ring toss, target shooting, charades, table tennis blowing contests, and riddle guessing games. Employees enthusiastically participated in each activity, filled with laughter and joy, creating a strong festive atmosphere that enhanced the team spirit and cohesion between Chinese and foreign staff.
As the Year of the Snake ushers in new beginnings, the overseas O&M projects will remain firmly committed to achieving their annual production and performance targets. With unwavering dedication, the project teams will continue to enhance their operational capabilities, ensure the long-term safe and efficient operation of power generation units, and make even greater contributions to the steady advancement of high-quality Belt and Road cooperation.
