On New Year's Day, I’m on duty, demonstrating commitment through overhaul —The 2025 Unit A Overhaul at the Myanmar Thaketa O&M Project Officially Kicks Off
2025-01-03
On January 1st, the Myanmar Thaketa O&M Project officially shut down in accordance with the directive from the Myanmar Ministry of Electric Power, marking the successful completion of the 2024 power generation task and the official commencement of the 2025 Unit A overhaul work.
The planned duration for this Unit A overhaul is 35 days, with the core focus on gas turbine major overhaul (MI). It includes a total of 194 tasks, covering specialized maintenance, technical supervision, performance testing, and other related work.
To ensure the high-quality completion of the Unit A overhaul, the project team, in collaboration with the owner, held a mobilization meeting on December 31, 2024. They developed the "2025 Unit A Overhaul Plan" in accordance with the CSA contract terms and local conditions, created an overhaul network diagram, and established an overhaul organizational structure. The project team carried out a comprehensive deployment and overall arrangement of all maintenance tasks, jointly analyzing and evaluating the overhaul plan, schedule control, spare parts, and key considerations with the owner. This helped further clarify the key tasks at each stage, laying a solid foundation for the orderly execution of the Unit A overhaul.
Next, the Myanmar Thaketa O&M Project will adhere to the principle of "repair if necessary, and repair well", strictly controlling maintenance processes and quality standards. The team will steadily advance the progress of various maintenance tasks, ensuring rigorous control over safety and quality. This will ensure the successful completion of the 2025 Unit A overhaul and provide strong support for the long-term, safe, and efficient operation of the unit.
