The Unit 2 of the Company’s Beihai Nine Dragons Paper Industries Commissioning Project Successfully Connected to the Grid on the First Attempt

At 23:28 on December 27th, Unit 2 of  Company's Beihai Nine Dragons Paper Industries Commissioning Project successfully connected to the grid on the first attempt, with excellent performance in various parameter indicators. This marks another significant milestone successfully completed for the project.

 

To ensure the smooth completion of the grid connection for Unit 2, all staff members of  Company's Beihai Nine Dragons Paper Industries Commissioning Project overcame unfavorable factors such as a tight schedule and heavy tasks. They conducted thorough preparations with high standards and strict requirements. Following the completion of the blowing pipe work for Unit 2, the project manager, considering the grid connection schedule, closely coordinated with construction units in relevant specialties, as well as professionals in the turbine and thermal control specialties, to carry out pre-startup debugging and various static tests for the entire unit. Adhering to the schedule, they progressed and completed all pre-startup tests for the entire unit, creating favorable conditions for the smooth startup of Unit 2. After completing various checks before the startup on-site, the project initiated the ignition procedure on the morning of December 27th, marking the formal commencement of the entire unit startup. At 14:18, the steam turbine generator set reached a steady speed of 3000 r/min. Subsequently, they conducted excitation tests, generator short-circuit tests, generator no-load tests, and generator synchronization tests. Ultimately, they successfully achieved the goal of connecting Unit 2 to the grid, receiving unanimous praise from the owner and the general contractor.

 

The successful grid connection of Unit 2 lays a solid foundation for the subsequent comprehensive work of the project. Next, all members of the project will further strengthen the management of project commissioning, ensuring the successful completion of subsequent tasks and delivering a satisfactory outcome to the company and the owner.
