On September 2, Mr. Ouyang Daobing, councilor of the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar, visited Kyaukpyu O&M Project. Mr. Zhu Zhonyi, the representative of the owner, and Mr. Wang Jian, the project manager, welcomed and met Mr. Ouyang.

 

In the meeting room of the office building, Mr. Zhu and Mr. Wang respectively represented the power plant and the Company to report on the safety production, operation management, employee localization, and foreign training of the power plant. Mr. Ouyang affirmed the various work of the project, praised the work during the epidemic period, and recognized the humanistic care of the power plant. He pointed out that the Kyaukpyu project located in Rakhine State. Under the current situation, as a central enterprise, it is necessary to effectively play its corporate social responsibility, enhance its awareness of security prevention, timely pay attention to feedback, and grasp the surrounding security situation, and effectively ensure the safety of overseas employees. Subsequently, he gave a detailed introduction to the new situation, requirements, and measures faced by the consular work of the embassy, focusing on the purpose, significance, and requirements of establishing a volunteer mechanism for consular protection. He also proposed that as volunteers, we should care about our motherland and compatriots, promote the spirit of volunteerism, raise legal awareness, actively provide volunteer services for consular protection and assistance work, and carry out consular protection service publicity.

 

Finally, he awarded the Consular Assistance Volunteer Certificate to Mr. Wang. Mr. Wang stated that the embassy’s guidance on the project has given all project staff a more comprehensive understanding of the protection work carried out by embassies abroad and a deeper understanding of the policy and professionalism of consular protection. In the future, he will fulfill his duties and assist the embassy in providing assistance to compatriots in Myanmar to the best of his ability.

 

After the meeting, Mr. Ouyang visited the security area, office building, centralized control building and gas turbine area.
