On March 10th, Wang Guanghui, the head of the Maday Island-Kyaukpyu Management Office (referred to as the “Management Office”) of China-Myanmar Oil and Gas Pipeline Project, under Sino-Pipeline International Company of CNPC, led a delegation to conduct exchange activities at the Myanmar Kyaukpyu O&M Project. The project manager, Wang Jian, the deputy project manager, Zhu Yanhua, and the representative from the owner’s side, Guo Zhen, accompanied the delegation during the investigation.

Project manager Wang Jian warmly welcomed the arrival of Wang Guanghui and his team, providing an overview of the project. Subsequently, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges regarding the emergency response plans for unforeseen events at the project site, including the existing joint emergency response plan. They communicated and confirmed details related to emergency evacuation procedures, resource sharing mechanisms, emergency contact networks, and collaborative efforts between enterprises. In the end, both parties reached a consensus on the joint emergency response plan.

During the visit, both parties toured key areas of the project, including the central control room, turbine room, GIS, gas turbine facilities, and water treatment workshop.

This research and guidance activity holds significant importance for the project in better preparing for various unforeseen events and crises, thereby reducing risks and losses. Seizing this opportunity, the project aims to enhance crisis awareness and emergency response capabilities, effectively ensuring the safety of the lives and property of project staff and the smooth operation of project facilities.
