Guangdong Zhanjiang Commissioning Project: Successful First-Time Power Reception for the 220kV Booster Station and Plant Power System

2024-05-24

At 16:30 on the afternoon of May 24, the 220kV booster station and plant power system of the Company's Guangdong Zhanjiang Commissioning Project successfully received power for the first time, completing the task six days ahead of schedule. This milestone marks the official transition of the project into the partial trial operation phase.

The commissioning project at the Zhanjiang Jingxin Donghai Power Plant in Guangdong involves 2×600MW "developing large units and suppressing small ones" cogeneration coal-fired units. The project includes two 600 MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired units equipped with desulfurization and denitrification systems. The Company is primarily responsible for electrical parameter calculations, subsystem commissioning, overall startup commissioning, and performance testing.

With the close cooperation and joint efforts of the Company's electrical technicians, production units, supervision units, and construction units, the project team successfully completed the charging tests and system load tests for the three overhead lines of the 220kV booster station, the 220kV GIS booster station system, the startup/standby transformer system, and the plant power system by 16:30 on May 24. All primary and secondary equipment in the various intervals operated normally without any abnormal noise, and the protection and control devices displayed normal readings with no alarms.

The successful first-time power reception for the 220kV booster station and plant power system creates favorable conditions for the orderly advancement of subsequent auxiliary equipment commissioning and overall startup tasks. It also provides a reliable startup backup power source for future unit operations. Moving forward, the project team will seize this opportunity to strengthen project execution management following the approach of risk reduction, contract fulfillment, strong management, and quality and efficiency improvement. This ensures the smooth completion of all subsequent commissioning tasks and fully guarantees the high-quality and efficient fulfillment of the project.
