Recently,  SEPCOIII Morocco Jerada Project received an Appreciation Letter from the local government of Morocco, highly recognizing the project team's outstanding contributions to the local community and extending sincere gratitude.

As the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) steadily progresses, the Morocco Jerada Project team has remained steadfast in fulfilling its social responsibilities and improving local livelihoods since its establishment. The letter, issued under the authority of the Hassi-Blal Regional Government, expressed heartfelt appreciation and high praise for the project team's exemplary practices in ensuring reliable power supply, adhering to local laws and regulations, and promoting local employment and socio-economic development.

The Morocco Jerada Coal-Fired Power Plant Project is the first project of the company in the Moroccan market and features the country's first 350MW supercritical air-cooled coal-fired generating unit, which undertakes Morocco’s main power generation and grid peak-shaving tasks. Since its commissioning in 2017, the project has been operated and maintained by company, a specialized commissioning and O&M service provider under SEPCOIII. In its first year of operation, the plant achieved an impressive annual operation record of 8,751 hours and has consistently surpassed annual power generation targets for seven consecutive years, with a cumulative power generation exceeding 17.8 billion kWh.

With its high efficiency, energy-saving, and environmentally friendly features, the project has not only provided a stable and continuous power supply for Morocco’s national grid but has also made significant contributions to Morocco’s energy infrastructure development, economic growth, and environmental protection. This has played a key role in enhancing the company's O&M brand recognition and reputation in Morocco.
